Data centers and other critical environments combine dense electronics, combustible materials, and uninterrupted energy, making them especially vulnerable to ignition. But beyond the fire protection, these spaces also require a solution that can keep up with the evolving demands of scalability, retrofitting, and environmental compliance.
Forget cylinders, pressure, and costly rigid systems. N2 Gen brings modular fire protection with flexible installation, truly clean discharge, and total compatibility across mission-critical environments.

Our N2 Gen generator adapts to a wide range of volumes starting at just 0.3 m³, offering flexible and fast installation or replacement with minimal disruption.
We deliver a ready-to-install system, including detectors, alarm panels, and control units. Already have your own setup? No problem. N2 Gen is fully compatible with certified fire detection and activation systems.
N2 Gen releases pure nitrogen (IG-100) in a gaseous form.
The nitrogen is generated through a controlled decomposition of a solid-bound compound, but the discharge itself is fully gaseous with no solid particles, dust, or residue. This distinguishes it from aerosol-based systems, which involve a suspension of fine solid particles in gas. While both technologies use solid materials as a starting point, N2 Gen is classified as a clean inert gas system in accordance with standards like ISO 14520 and NFPA 2001.
N2 Gen units are electrically activated, either manually or automatically via certified fire detection and control panels. They are fully compatible with DSPA interfaces such as DECU4 and ACM, and can be connected in series using SCR or UAS modules, allowing flexible configurations and large-volume protection. For standalone applications, the system can also be equipped with the TPE-1B device, which includes thermal detection and automatic release.
Nitrogen generators are intended for the protection against fires that fall under the Class A, B, and C categories.
If N2 Gen is applied in areas where personnel may be present, it should only be used with a 30-second time delay and a system isolate switch to ensure safe evacuation before discharge. Oxygen is essential to life, and reducing levels below 12% may be hazardous. Exposure in spaces with oxygen concentrations of 10–12.5% should not exceed 5 minutes.
Yes. The N2 Gen system is designed to release nitrogen at a low and controlled discharge pressure, typically around 3 bar. Unlike pressurized cylinder-based systems, N2 Gen uses an internal solid propellant to generate gas on demand, eliminating high storage pressures and sudden shock bursts.
This low-pressure discharge:
• Ensures smooth gas diffusion, even in sensitive environments
• Prevents damage to circuit boards, cable systems, and servers
• Works safely in occupied rooms and tight enclosures without causing turbulence or airflow disruption
N2 Gen units should be mounted on walls or ceilings, using brackets provided. The discharge outlet must remain unobstructed and oriented toward the center of the protected volume. The manual specifies a minimum clearance of 10 mm from the ceiling or side walls, depending on the unit size.
The system operates reliably in ambient temperatures between -20°C and +75°C at 95% RH. This wide range makes it suitable for environments with non-climate-controlled conditions, such as power rooms, marine enclosures, or outdoor cabinets.
Yes. The N2 Gen stainless-steel housing and sealed construction are built to resist mechanical shocks, vibrations and humidity. With no moving parts or exposed components, the system is well suited for harsh or mobile environments such as ships, industrial enclosures and battery containers.
N2 Gen complies with internationally recognized standards for condensed aerosol and inert gas fire suppression systems. It is certified under EN 15276-1 and EN 15276-2, ISO 15779, EN 15004-1, EN 15004-8, BRL-K21045 SCP01, and BRL-K23003/02 (KIWA). These certifications confirm that N2 Gen meets stringent requirements for design, installation, safety, and environmental performance in critical applications.
